Speaking Of Where ‘Madness Lies’...
…more proof that it resides in The White House…
From Stanley Kurtz, over at NRO, we learn [worth quoting in full][tip of the fedora to Wombat-Socho's Live At Five]:
According to Peter Baker in the New York Times, President Obama has long had a fantasy of “going Bulworth,” that is, of behaving like the namesake hero of Warren Beatty’s 1998 film, Bulworth. Bulworth is a Senator who finally breaks free of the constraints of American politics to say what he really thinks. And what he thinks consists largely of obscene raps and wild speeches openly pushing for socialism.
A quick summary of the film is here. A review by my EPPC colleague, James Bowman, is here. What appears to be a transcript of a portion of the film is here.
I could say more, but I think I’ll just stop here.
Thank you for doing that, Mr. Kurtz, and sparing us the more pathetic elements of this story [yeah, believe it or not, it actually gets more pathetic].
I believe the proper term for what Obama is suffering from is ‘serial stunted growth’ — this is a condition common to all who suffer from the delusional mindset known as ‘Leftism’.
Everybody’s a dreamer
And everybody’s a star
And everybody’s in movies
It doesn’t matter who you are
There are stars in every city
In every house and on every street
And if you walk down Hollywood Boulevard
Their names are written in concrete!…
Everybody’s a dreamer
And everybody’s a star
And everybody’s in show biz
It doesn’t matter who you are…
I wish my life was a non-stop Hollywood movie show
A fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroes
Because celluloid heroes never feel any pain
And celluloid heroes never really die
